Top ten things to hope for in ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ DVD’s deleted or extended scenes
Posted By Tai
This article was posted by Twilight Examiner in June, but I agreed with all of it and hope some of it will apply to the upcoming DVD release:
If you haven’t seen The Twilight Saga: Eclipse yet, do be warned that this is a spoiler-ridden post and you may want to save it for later.
Alright, so we know that David Slade’s revealed at least one deleted scene we should expect to see on an Eclipse DVD, but there are a few other moments that one might hope for on such a feature.
The one we know is coming is the Angela and Bella “jealousy” sequence – where the two discuss Edward’s feelings about Bella’s friendship with Jacob over graduation announcements.
So, putting that one aside, here are ten other moments one might hope to see:
1. “I felt hope”: The Twilight Saga: Eclipse does a nice job of bringing in Jasper’s backstory, for sure. And the chemistry between Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) and Alice (Ashley Greene) is very palatable in both the ending of that story and the fight training sequence. However, a significant quote that Jasper says about finding Alice in Eclipse the book didn’t make the film cut . . . “I felt hope.” It’s certainly forgiveable – especially since we weren’t shirked on the Jasper Whitlock Hale “ma’am”-ness – but it’d be nice to see a fuller account of the Jasper and Alice tale, especially the part where Edward describes their first visit to the Cullen household.
2. Quil and Claire: It’s borderline creepy to some (perhaps outsiders particularly), sure, but it is necessary to make the Renesmee/Jacob dynamic in Breaking Dawn make any sense. InThe Twilight Saga: Eclipse, no mention is made of Quil and his two-year-old imprintee, and something about the situation needs to be elucidated to segue into what comes next in the imprinting world. Otherwise, it’d have to be squeezed into The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, and we’ll be far too busy in Isle Esme for that.
3. “Close the window”: One significant change that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse made to the story of Eclipse is to remove the kidnapping sequence. Yes, Edward’s behavior in these moments is undesirable and it probably was better to shorten it to just the moment where Edward dismembers her car for the sake of film continuity. Still, one line that was removed from this moment was the one in which Edward tells Bella to shut her window if she doesn’t want him to come in due to his behavior. This was important because it showed Edward’s remorse but also illustrated Bella’s understanding when she ends up opening it as wide as it could go. It’d be nice to see this on-screen – unlikely as it may be. Edward isn’t all sunshine and roses in Eclipse, and we need to believe Bella when she says that she “know[s] who he is” to Jacob’s “he isn’t perfect” near the end.
4. Emmett face smash: A few days ago, we learned that at least one portion of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse‘s battle sequence was pared down to appease the MPAA and maintain a PG-13 rating: an Emmett face smash that David Slade described as “the face kind of breaks off into pieces of crystal that shatter.” That’s something I’d like to see for sure . . . even if it meant buying an unrated DVD.
5. Jacob and Bella post-punch: The cut from Bella punching Jacob in the face and hurting her hand to the front yard of Charlie’s house was rather quick in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. I rather enjoyed it in the book when Bella gets fierce with the smug Jacob and calls him a dog. Of course, in the film, Edward is a bit more frantic in his threats than he was in the book, so that eliminates the possibility for some of the best zingers in this portion of the story, but there still could’ve been more in between these two moments. If there was, it’d be good to see on DVD.

New Taylor Lautner interview
Posted By Tai
Here is a fabulous new article about Taylor Lautner from Mexican magazine Vanidades :
Saturday morning in Beverly Hills. With a radiant sun, my friends enjoy a day at the beach, or an amusement park, but they probably wish they were in my place. What girl wouldn’t want to interview one of the leads in the Twilight movies?
Kristen recently dropped by the Four Seasons Hotel. Robert Pattinson too. But as many of his fans would, I prefer to speak with Taylor Lautner.
Is there anything in particular that drives you to success?
The people around me. The people I love like my friends and family. They are the ones that drive to success.
What’s it like to become famous all of a sudden?
It’s exciting. This saga became the best platform to launch my career, and it was a great oportunity. I’m grateful because I have fun making movies and working with talented people.
What is the worst thing about fame?
There’s tons of good things and bad things. Obviously, the lack of privacy is bad. It’s not normal to go out and have dozens of cars with photographers waiting outside while you get your coffee. But like I said, there’s many good things too and I’m willing to put up with the inconviniences.
What do you do to keep your feet on the ground?
The answer is in the family members and friends that I’ve known for a while. This is our job, we live in the business world, but then we go back to normal. We can be famous, but in the end, our lives are as normal as anyone else’s. We stay at home and we don’t live the exciting lives people think. Keeping a balance in our lives is important, and I can’t lose that.
Being this popular, can you still go out on the streets and not be recognized?
Yes, but I hate to be creative. I might not go shopping or to the movies, but I have my favorite places, like certain restaurants that are not very famous. There are times when I don’t care and I go bowling. It might get a little complicated at times, but I still have fun, even if I go back home thinking I shouldn’t have gone out and I don’t go out for awhile.
How is you relationship with the paparazzi?
Sometimes it’s frustrating, but I can’t forget that it’s something that comes with the work. It’s hard to handle, but I don’t let it get to me too much, or else I’d go nuts. Stay patient is very important to me, and I have to ignore what bothers me.
What has been the weirdest experience with your fans?
I wouldn’t say weird, but definitely passionate. I was at a red carpet in Australia, and many of them would ask me to sign their arms. One of them had the Wolf Pack tattoo on her arm, it was a real tattoo. I signed my name under it and the next day someone told me she had gotten a tattoo of my signature. I didn’t know whether to feel guilty or flattered. That’s just too passionate.
Is here any competition between the actors of this movie?
None at all. I can’t imagine filming these movies without the friends I’ve made here. It would be a nightmare. Rob, Kristen and me are very close friends. Even when we’re not working, we try to see each other some weekends. It’s a healthy friendship that hope we can keep for a long time.
Last year you said Taylor Swift didn’t write you a song and a few days later she apperead on SNL singing to you. Is there now a song that we don’t know of?
If you can call that a song, than yes, that’s the only one. That’s all I know. i wish i could give you a more exciting answer.
Have you ever been in the middle of a love triangle in real life?
When I was in elementary school. Five of us wanted to be the boyfriend of the same girl. But it wasn’t anything serious, it wasn’t love. I would never want to be in the same siutation as any of the leads in Twilight.
Did you ever got into a fight for a girl?
If she’s important enough for me, yes I would do it. And yes, I have done it in the past.
Does your physique help? How have you managed to keep the muscles?
Sometimes I wish I could eat some icecream, and I do cheat, but when I have filming of a photoshoot coming up, I need to be strong to stay in shape. It’s hard to get muscles and it’s just as hard to keep them. When i’m too busy to go to the gym or if I don’t find enough time to eat, I can lose the muscles quickly, and it’s 10 times harder to recover them.
What’s different this time with Eclipse?
Honestly, I was disappointed. There were many action scenes for Jacob, but when the best stuff happens, Jacob is in his wolf form, so they left out some of the stuff I did on my own. At least I got to kiss Kristen for the first time ever. That was the best. She’s a great kisser.
Aside from Twilight, how do you choose your roles?
Pure instinct, depending on what I’m being offered. I have to read many scrips, and if I find a script that I like, I go for it. It depends on the story and the character. I like to challenge myself with different subjects, I don’t want to go down one road, I want to mix it up every now and then.
Will you be a superhero in your next movie?
No, but I hope I can be one soon. My next movie is called Abduction. The theme is very interesting- It’s about a teenager that finds his picture on the missing kids section of a website for missing people. He realizes his life is a lie.
Will we see your naked torso in this movie?
(laughs) No. Well, it’s to be determined.
Jacob has tons of shirtless scenes in the movies. Is that part of your contract?
It’s in the script. It’s funny to be in the middle of the street, leaning on a car and being shirtless. It was awkward. Everyone else was dressed except me. In my next movie there are no shirtless scenes. It all depends of the character. If I need to be shirtless or if I need to lose 33 lbs, I’ll do it.
What do you think about Breaking Dawn being two movies?
It’s a great idea. It’s hard to adapt a 500 page book into a 110 page script. And Breaking Dawn has 800 pages. The storylines are a bit more complicated with all the wolfpack stuff and the baby. It’s too much. One movie is not enough.
What was the best memory you have of Twilight. What will you miss the most when the movies are over?
I’ll miss the short shorts (laughs). I’ll miss them so much.
Are they any particular brand?
I don’t know, they’re just short shorts. I have no idea. But now that you asked me I need to know, next time I’ll wear them I’ll check them out.

Just For Fun:Facebook’s Cafe World Goes Twilight
Posted By Tai
One of Facebook’s most popular game, Cafe World has jumped on the Twilight band wagon. The point of the game is to build and a small cafe and make money selling food you’ve cooked. It’s also about decorating your cafe, sometimes with “Theme” items. This month, the theme is Goth. Vampires are for sale here and there are two very familiar Twilight characters. One is a Sparkly Vampire with great hair and another is a cute little Native guy who “poof’s” into an even cuter Werewolf. There are also red robed character for all you Volturi lovers. The downside is most of these characters costs what is called “Cafe Cash”, which you must purchase or earn (earning it takes a long time and you turn into a literal Scrooge about spending them).
Taylor Lautner Interview With Nick Magazine
Posted By Tai
TwilightItalianMom’s.com posted a new interview with Taylor Lautner from Nick Magazine:

He studied martial arts (as you can see). Wehen we meet Taylor Lautner at the Hotel DeRussie in Rome we have immediately the impression of standing in front of an athlete. “My character changed a lot since the first movie, if I wanted to made it to the second I had to work out. I started working with a personal trainer and I studied Stephenie Meyer’s books. I’ve lost many pounds and I tried to improve the character of Jacob physically and psychologically”. He doesn’t want to talk about his “career” because he thinks about the present and not about the what will happen in the future.
Garry Marshall, who recently directed you in Valentine’s Day, said you’re a very talented artist and you’re destined to become a star…
Really? I don’t know what to say, I’m happy about it. I hope he’s right because I’ve always dreamt about doing this in my life. As an actor I hope to do many experiments and to not repeat myself. The Twilight Saga was a big hit for me because I had the chance to make the people know who I am. Now I’m concentrating on my new movie Abduction directed by John Singleton, on the next chapter of the saga and I’m working on a movie that is going to be out in 2012: Stretch Armstrong.
What’s the role you dream about?
The next one. The most important role is always the one you’re about to face.
What’s keep you down to earth?
My family, my friends…what’s important is not throw away what you have. People gets in trouble when they become someone else. So you lose the people you care about. It’s like I have a double life: the old one that is still the same, and this one as an actor which allows me to travel and to see girls with my name tattoed on their arms. At home my life is normal like everyone else’s.
This doesn’t seem to bother you
At all. I won’t change my situation for nothing in the world.
What do you like about women (except tattoos)?
Loyalty. My ideal woman should be honest and sincere. I have to trust my woman.
Have you ever “shared” a woman with a friend?
Fortunately no, at least not until now.
Let’s talk about your fans. What do you think about them?
They’s great! If it wasn’t for them I won’t be here having this interview.
As a reader and watcher, what do you think about the Twilight Saga?
Of all the books my favourite is Eclipse, hence is also my favourite of the movies. I don’t know about Breaking Dawn because we didn’t read the script yet. Eclipse has so much action and Jacob changed in the three films. He’s very aware of the situation…and very cool!
About being cool: what is so fascinating about the wolves?
Having this double personality and the interior laceration that creates. I think playing a character with a life cut in two is very fascinating for an actor. Werewolves follow their instincts and this is a thing I can relate with, even if in the last years I try to consult with somebody before every decision.
Who do you asks advices?
People I trust: my friends or my parents.
Do you like to take risks ad an actor?
Absolutely. An actor can hazard without jeopardizing his real life so you should take any risks possible. I admire Jacob for being who he is: a man who never quits and stands for what he believes in. I know people prefer Edward and I can understand that, he’s a really nice guy.
If you can choose movies to express your personality, which ones would you choose?
For my romantic part I’d choose The Notebook, for my fighting side I’d choose The gladiator. I really like super heroes movies like Batman or SpiderMan, I recently discovered Iron Man thanks to the wonderful interpretation by Robert Downey Jr.
Is acting “your road”?
Now I’m happy to be an actor. I’d probably be an athlete right now but acting involves both physics and psychology, so I can try so many different things. I like to write too and, who knows, maybe someday I can direct someone in a movie. But it’s too soon to talk about it.
