Twilight Fan Art

In one of the recent Stephenie Meyer fan junket interview tracks released, Stephenie talked about seeing some amazing fanart. She references a quilt made by the folks over at the Twilight Quilters Coven (see interview and quilt below).

We get to see fan art a lot at the Creation Entertainment Official Twilight Conventions. They have a regular Twilight centerpiece contest.
More recently we’ve been seeing fans bringing in art they have created, and then they have the actors sign the artwork. One recently really stood out at the Boston Twilight Convention by fan PunchyAddison. It caught both Pel’s eye and Alex’s Meraz’s because it wasn’t just one piece, it was a series. See below.
You can see the entire gallery here.
Now if all of this is sparking your creativity, Twilight Axiom has a weekly fanart contest. Check out the details on their site and see if you’d like to apply!
So what’s your favorite fanart that you have ever seen?
Official Twilight Convention in Toronto a Hit

The Toronto Star reported on this past weekend’s Official Twilight Convention run by Creation Entertainment.
“Sunday was bright and beautiful, but inside the twists and turns of the Westin Convention Centre, 500 girls and women hardly cared. When pursuing love with a vampire, sunlight is an easy sacrifice.
This weekend was the Toronto stop of the touring Twilight Convention, a gathering for fans of Stephenie Meyer’s rabidly popular tale.
Almost 100 million copies of the four-novel series have been sold, and three movies have been made about the teenager Bella Swan and her romances with the vampire Edward Cullen and werewolf Jacob Black. A fourth film is set to be released in 2011.
“I cannot wait for Breaking Dawn,” said Santyna Brar, 14, who attended the entire three-day convention with her cousin, Sonali Kumar, 15.
The two Mississauga teens spent $299 each to get front-row seats for Q&As with Twilight actors[Lexicon note: you can get general admission day passes for as little as $25], plus photos, autographs and tickets to a costumed Vampire Ball on Saturday night.
None of the three principal actors — Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner — were here, though the cast of The Hillywood Show’s Twilight satire did feature a mock Jacob who remained shirtless all day. Brar and Kumar had a great time.
“I never knew stars could be so normal,” said Kumar. At the ball, one of the younger actors, Boo Boo Stewart, sat down at the cousins’ table to chat.”
See more on the Toronto Star.
The convention is next coming to New Jersey, Minneapolis, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Sacramento and other locations.
We weren’t able to live Tweet the convention this weekend because we would have gone broke with the charges (*shakes fist at AT&T*), however we will have a full write up for you this afternoon. Coming tomorrow, we have a video of an EPIC and we do mean EPIC prank thought up by Booboo Stewart and his dad that was executed with a little help from Bronson Pelletier and Kiowa Gordon. We filmed the prank from behind the scenes planning stages to the actual prank. You’re not going to want to miss this.
Twilight fans celebrate vampires and true love

Linda Pelley of Kitchener spent all afternoon Sunday covering her body in pink-white makeup for the best costume competition at the touring Twilight Convention in Toronto. But all that effort to portray the red-haired Twilight vampire Victoria paid off - Pelley won first prize.

‘It was the best moment of my life,” said Kumar, holding a $35 official convention sweater bought to remember the weekend.
The Twilight films have grossed over $1.7 billion in worldwide ticket sales, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. At the Westin, attendees could pay $50 for a photo session with an actor or $30 for an autograph. They could also buy graphic novels, T-shirts, hats, tote bags, photos, three sizes of dolls, key chains, earrings, stickers, puzzles, magazines and umbrellas.
“I have over 100 Twilight posters in my bedroom,” said Maddie Webb, 14, who came with her sister, Meaghan, 12. They’d each picked up $20 life-sized cut-outs of 16-year-old Stewart, who plays Seth Clearwater in the films.
A Q&A session on Sunday morning featured Stewart and actors Bronson Pelletier and Kiowa Gordon. Teenage girls from Buffalo, Calgary, Ohio, Detroit, Quebec and the GTA giggled at the guys’ silly improvisations, then let out a collective “Awwwwww” when they shared childhood memories.
Despite posters highlighting his impressive abs, Stewart seemed shy and unpretentious, fond of telling embarrassing stories about his dad.
