In one of the recent Stephenie Meyer fan junket interview tracks released, Stephenie talked about seeing some amazing fanart. She references a quilt made by the folks over at the Twilight Quilters Coven (see interview and quilt below).

We get to see fan art a lot at the Creation Entertainment Official Twilight Conventions. They have a regular Twilight centerpiece contest.
More recently we’ve been seeing fans bringing in art they have created, and then they have the actors sign the artwork. One recently really stood out at the Boston Twilight Convention by fan PunchyAddison. It caught both Pel’s eye and Alex’s Meraz’s because it wasn’t just one piece, it was a series. See below.

Help Write The Longest Fan Letter In The World To Stephenie Meyer

German Twilight fan site “Bella & Edward” want to put together the worlds largest fan letter. Until now the world record is at about 7.5 miles and was put together by fans of the band Tokio Hotel.
www.bellaundedward.de want to break that record and want to hand a letter to Stephenie Meyer that is at least about 8.1 miles.
For those who contribute the most to the fan letter, there are prizes to be had:
The bite-case with all four volumes, a brand new Wii game along with the “twilight – scene it” and the exclusive bite-bag waiting for you.
To the fan with the biggest contribution, a trip to Seattle (USA)for two people! (Wow! What a prize!)
The easiest way of taking part is to create a letter, scan it or take a picture of it (each page!), attach it to an email. Send this email to: bellaundedward@carlsen.de (Attention: it’s bellaUndedward) Each page has to be in Letter or A4 paper size (8.5 x 11 in)
Be sure to put your first and last name and your place of residence and the country in the email. The subject line must be “Fan-Brief” (which is fan letter in German).
There are some ideas for your letter on the website:
- Write a letter to one of the characters (Dear Jacob, how do I love thee? Let me… Just kidding folks!)
- Write to Stephenie Meyer, telling her how much you love the Twilight series
- Paint or draw a picture of your favorite scene or character. (I know some of you are awesome artists, here’s your chance to show it!)
- Put pictures out of magazines and create a collage.
- You can also create your letter on the computer
- Make a poem.
- Make a collection of your favorite quotes from the books.
- Create a letter with only one word and put every character of this word on one page i.e. T E A M J A C O B, that would be 9 pages
Just be creative!

Okay, you heard me, Jason Mecier an artist apparently with time on his hands made an awesome portrait of Taylor Lautner in red and black licorice! The portrait is part of We Like to Watch TV, a new San Francisco art show of celeb portraits by Mecier and his partner, painter Adam J. Ansell. All we can say is “Wow!”

Fansites Have Lunch With Stephenie Meyer

The websites Twilight Source, Twilight Series Theories, TwiFans, and Letters to Twilight spent a 4 hour lunch with Stephenie Meyer yesterday. They have tons and tons of information, some of which they can’t share until after the movie comes out so it doesn’t spoil the movie,but they can release some tidbits starting next week.
We talked to Kallie, from Twilight Series Theories, after the meeting. Kallie and her sister, Kassie, run Twilight Series Theories and are two of the coolest Texan ladies you ever want to meet! Kallie has been our broadcast buddy at the New Moon red carpet and she will be our broadcast buddy again for Eclipse.
Kallie said, “It was wonderful, fantastic, it was the chance of a lifetime. Stephenie is so down to earth. All the fans will love the information. We can’t wait to share.”
Kallie and Kassie have plans to put some of the material into their podcast as well as have transcripts.

FAN GETS TAYLOR LAUTNER’S AUTOGRAPH TATTOOED

A rabid Twilight fan has had Taylor Lautner’s autograph tattooed on her body.
Crazed Twi-hard Teresa Welbourn was lucky enough to grab the 18-year-old actor’s autograph at Monday’s Sydney Luna Park Q&A.
And she was damn sure she wasn’t going to let it rinse off in the shower – getting it permanently tattooed to her body.
The fan already had the wolf pack’s official tattoo on her arm, which stunned Lautner and Kristen Stewart when they met her.
In an interview with Merrick, Dools and Ricki-Lee, Lautner mentioned signing the tattoo and Kristen predicted it would be made permanent – a thought that freaked the teen star out!
